Shaniya Carrington is an Illustrator based in Brooklyn, New York.

Graduating with a BFA in Illustration from the Fashion Institute of Technology in May 2021, Shaniya knew she wanted to create digital artwork after honing her skills under the tutelage of many amazing professors. Shaniya, like many young artists trying to make it in the world, she went through a period of self doubt in her artistic ability. For awhile she began to struggle with taking her skills to a professional level. Her solution: Start over!

After going through a major artistic style change towards the end of 2021, the work on this site is what she’s currently known for and continues to sharpen. Using her skills in Procreate, Photoshop and Clipstudio Paint, Shaniya began to create compelling imagery that resonates with her current way of existing in the world around her. She specializes in conceptual illustrations, while also dabbling in portraiture and food illustrations.
